UNFAIR PUNISHMENT IN KENYA

These 300 children were severly caned after an unidentifed student damaged an unused water tank in the school.
This is how some public school manage student's behaviour and punish innocent victims.

SpeedDemon - great comment, my intention was always to be informing, not entertaining as per some other previous replies.

Since my original posting I have experienced more and developed a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding this ordeal.

These teachers work longs hours, are paid low salaries (deserving much more) and are not offered the same training opportunities as other teachers around the world.

This is how some public school manage student's behaviour and punish innocent victims." so this states that the teachers are punishing 299 INNOCENT kids for just 1 kids bad behavior. Now in my humble opinion thats very unfair.

Ok, I worked in a daycare and as a nanny. I didn't get paid much, either...25 years of watching other people's kids without hardly having to even raise my voice. They all turned out very well. You teach children with love, not with intimidation such as this. These people are idiots!!

@Skorpi00007 Actually, from what I'm seeing from the video four adults are going one by one hitting them harshly. Not just once, first teacher hits 1# kid and goes to the 2#. Second teacher hits 1# kid moves to the second, like wise.

When I was a kid, the whole class would get punished if the offending child didn't fess up to the crime. Not with physical abuse perhaps, but with something taken away from us. The justice comes after school, when the kid who did it got his ass whooped by the 20 kids who lost out on something because he/she didn't confess. ;o)
