  • I've been living near Tokyo in a capital city for years... Perhaps his winter is much warmer than ours. But his heating bill in that uninsulated shack must be about 30,000 yen a month or $300 bucks. No, joke.

  • I've been living in Yamanashi for 8 years. This is certainly rare, even in the country housing and especially land is VERY expensive. This guy is very blessed. I do think it may be possible to get lucky like him if you know the language, are serious about farming and your chances would go up by 80% if you married a Japanese like him.

  • I would love to live out there in the woods in an abandonded house.
