Introducing Disney AppMATes - a new line of toys that comes to life digitally when used with an Apple iPad allowing kids to use the tablet's screen as a virtual play mat. The Appmates toy line features miniature Disney•Pixar Cars 2 vehicles with sensors on the base of each toy that are recognized as a unique footprint by an app with no cable or Bluetooth connection required. Simply download the free Cars 2 Appmates app from the iTunes app store, place your favorite Appmates toy character on the screen and play. Ages 4+

Toys available Oct. 1 at national retailers, Apple Store, Apple Store online, Disney Store and www.DisneyStore.com with vehicle two-packs featuring four characters including Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, Finn McMissile, and Holley Shiftwell. Two additional characters -- Francesco Bernoulli and Shu Todoroki -- will launch in November and be available exclusively through Apple Store and Apple Store online.

I have an anti-glare/anti-scratch protective film so scratching is non issue.

My 4 and 6 year old absolutely LOVE this, as do I. Very fun!

  • Scratches Screen? Yes it does. Buyer beware. Box says "safe to use for iPad". I am a clean screen freak...so i KNOW my screen (i had one scratch near the bottom button) and upon cleaning before and after a every modest session with the toy I noticed new circular scratches in the center of the screen where you are instructed to use the toy. • Well it potty train him?

  • Starting to get advanced.

What's next, games that can virtually take u in and u

Can be the person in the game.
