i rewatched the movie now that i'm actually an adult and it's such a tragic movie! i seriously cried at the end, perhaps happy that he fulfilled his task of perhaps sacrificing himself to his trickster god.

actually this isn't true, the first encounter was when shephard unmasked himself as iceman was being brought back to life!
