The 2-Arm/2-Leg Dumbbell SLDL is a great exercise that we use to strengthen the hip extension pattern. We will use these throughout the whole entire year as I really think it is a great movement during the season as it helps counter balance the quads and adductors which get a lot of work on the ice. We will always have our athletes maintain a flat/almost arched back while we do this. We will progress to single arm with kettlebells.
