Released on 12" Vinyl and CD on 16th November 2009 - Digital released on 30th November.
Very soon after the release of Shelf Life Vol. 2′′, Calibre stated he would be releasing his long anticipated Non D&B album Shine a Light. Now released on CD & LP.
In his own words: I have spent over 10 years writing music, the majority of my work being drum and bass, so i wanted to write an album that wasnt attached to a particular musical genre, to me it felt like feeling my way in the dark. And that my friends is what interests me, a mystery re-ignited; A different story to tell; And its as simple as that; No frills just some music that I liked. I hope a few of you do also.
DJ support from Mr Scruff, Laurent Garnier, Rob Da Bank, Benji B, Presha,
Absolutely stunning piece of work. The man's talents are extraordinary.

@jimixdnb Despite 90% of comments being utter bullshit, it's refreshing to see someone with your viewpoint. Screw this whole "sub-genre of a split off from a main genre" crap, music is music. Love it, feel it, appreciate it.

@jimixdnb Truely beautiful LP, finally got round to buying it. Totally agree with you Jim, its nice to see someone exploring avenues totally different to what you would expect them to. Goes to show how talented he is, I bet he could write an amazing piece in any genre to be honest.

amazing release! i think it was really time for him to make an album with tracks that he just 'likes' - because in the end it is not important if it is dnb or house or whatever. It needs a groove, a good idea, yea and it just has to 'feel' like music! -> I like the album very much 5/5
