The State Department’s program to preserve overseas cultural landmarks started funding projects under President Bush in 2001.
The program isn’t Barack Obama's. It was created by Congress in late 2000 and the first grants were announced under President George W. Bush in 2001. The State Department says that, in total, the fund has contributed nearly $26 million more than half was given before Obama took ofice.

A long term deficit and the need for a deficit commission is just the result of out of control liberal politicians totally ripping off the American People everywhere they possibly can. Plus, it's not only about the money since the freedom of America is also being destroyed. American politics today is just a stealth war against the Unites States Constitution and the will of the American People. A war against itself. An inside job. Politicians vs the American People. Guess who's winning so far.

Wait..wait..wait. We giving taxpayers' money to rebuild Mosques in other countries, when we, here in America, get offended when there's a Cross put on display?
Spread the wealth and destroy the US economy. Thanks to all who voted for the first muslim president.

The irony is that liberals and the ACLUseless would be crying about "separation of church and state" if it were churches being renovated at taxpayer expense.
