This piece was inspired by the Japanese instruments the shakuhachi and koto, and yes this was composed by Michio Miyagi who indeed lost his eye sight at age 8,and became a famouse koto player and composer.
And Jean Pierre Rampal who is the most famous flute(not shakuhachi)player in France(or world), is playing the flute. It doesn't tell us who is playing the koto.
So, I was bit confused by comments. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I believe it's classical flute and some kind of Japanese instrument. The koto is the only Japanese plucked string that I've encountered, but the accompaniment is probably not what you would think of when you say harp.
Nice, just what I needed. I'm going to listen forever.

The flute is a shakuhachi, the harp is a koto, both traditional Japanese instruments. The song's composer was a famous blind koto player.
