  • hahaha your wife giving you shit for stepping on it

  • Its been 3 years mark. Do you still have

  • @osityan I'm 5' 9" and 160 pounds, I don't think that qualifies as fat.

  • @idontcare80

We've had synthetic material in our mercedes for 25 years. It's still fine.

Maybe you're fat and you wreck seats.

  • A few other things: Pleather is not a brand name, it's slang for plastic leather and doesn't need to be capitalized. I didn't call anyone any kind of childish name. There are "eco-friendly" leathers that are becoming widely available.

Have fun living in your fantasy land.

  • @osityan LOL, I'm sitting on a pleather chair right now, it was falling apart three years after I bought it! Same with the seats in my car. My sister had a 22 year old BMW with leather seats, they were in perfect condition. The seats in my car were pleather and brutally hot in the summer. Before I bought seat covers I would have to let my car air out and cool off for a while.

MEAT production causes global warming, not LEATHER production. People aren't going to stop eating meat anytime soon.

  • @idontcare80

Meat production is the number one cause for global warming. Yes, it comes well before Pleather and plastics.

Pleather actually does last longer as it doesnt crack with heat. It will last forever if you dont rip it. It's also is cool in summer and hot in winter. Of course there are ethical benefits not killing animals as well. You lost the argument as soon as you resorted to childish name calling. You lose.

Have fun burning yourself on leather seats in the summer.

  • @osityan And where the hell do you think pleather comes from, the happy pleather tree? Pleather starts out as oil, then makes a long and energy intensive journey to its final form. Pleather also doesn't last nearly as long as leather and has to be replaced from time to time, that's not green. Pleather, like all plasitcs, also breaks down into very toxic elements.

I don't mind vegetarians, I'm even considering becoming one myself, but vegans are just moronic and completely unrealistic people.

  • another note on leather used in vehichles: Centers for Disease Control found a higher incidence of leukemia among populations living near tanneries, and other research has shown highly elevated cancer rates among tannery workers. Doesnt sound too green to me.
