pretty clever set up!

Splendid speed, and set up prof.

Excellent, I really like how the whoopie and marlin spike is all connected, may have to look at that again

Excellent job friend, thanks for sharing

@TribTrekker 1/8" diameter Amsteel is rated to something like 1800 pounds. Whoopie slings don't degrade the cord strength much at all. Go with that, and your suspension will not be the weakest link in the system.

@ProfessorHammock Like most of you I suppose, I too have attempted to refine and perfect a more practical and efficient means of suspension, deployment and recovery. But, while I am most intrigued by products like Amsteel Blue and Whoopie Slings, I have hesitated due to the need for my set up to withstand considerably higher stress than the average ultra-light hiker. Being a big dude, certainty of strength in my suspension is crucial. But, I think I am going to give it a try, and hope it holds!

@TribTrekker Thanks Trekker...yeah, one or twice or three times.... or more .... a lot more ... some of it is muscle memory now

@RallohE The hat cam is the new trail fashion statement, for sure! A bit tricky to remember to position the head to keep things in the field of view, as you can plainly see in the video with fractional bits of movement towards the bottom of the screen. I have no doubt the hat cam will continue to be used in future vids though.
Excellent adventure into vertigo! Creative and instructional, though Dutch may have a point to argue with I really like your idea for a complete suspension all incorporated.

@bluejeans8001 Dutch is a buddy. He can take it. Maybe not with good grace, but he can take it (grin). I started thinking about a Marlin spike hitch based one-piece suspension when my son left a pair of tree huggers beyond at camp on a backpacking trip. Spare cord saved the day, but it definitely is true that when you have separate pieces you're at risk of leaving something behind.

I USED to think I was pretty clever, even at times ingenious. Not any more. Thanks a lot!

@TribTrekker Thanks, but truth in advertising compels me to point out that many of the ideas that make their way into my gear are absorbed from somewhere else. Lots of fun in pulling different ideas together though. Thanks for watching
