  • Love everything about this song and video - even Laurie's dancing. Saw her do this live back in 84 and it was amazing. There's a combination of wisdom and impish innocence about her which is so engaging. Even though she's brilliant and says a lot of profound things, she doesn't take herself that seriously and so remains delightful rather than insufferable.

  • @DrRestezi well said

  • @OPESingers Some of the Talking Heads. AB did some work with them but I've read they did'nt give him credit for the work . I checked out TTC L'elephant. Anybody with any musical talent would'nt want the credit anyway. I watched about 30 seconds of it & Tina Weymouth should've stayed with David Berne & The Talking Heads.

  • Oopsy. "Club" should have been capitalized.

  • Don't know of the top of my head. I'll bet you can find what you're looking for out there in the interconnection. The other question was given away by the "elephant" sound that Belew kind of trademarked. Tom Tom club had a song called L'Elephant on their first album. Guess what that featured?

  • @OPESingers ok your a fan of the other than pop music. Maybe you can help me with a search of some of Laurie Anderson's earlier stuff. I've only heard this only 2 or 3 times, on which album of hers does Leonard Nimoy do spoken word? The only musical instrument was a drum & him talking.

  • OK all you Laurie Anderson fans. What very famous guitarist is making the elephant noise. He had already created this sound with one the famous progressive rock bands, and he played with David Bowie as the The Young Kentuckian when he was introduced as the guitar player on one of David Bowies 1978 euro tours. Come on hit me back You will be very suprised.

  • Well that was mental....

  • Dear Laurie Anderson, my mother would like to deeply express that while she enjoyed "Sharkey's Day," she thinks it's wierd.

    Sincerely, Billie
