@MultiHangfire Actually, if you go to the goldenspike National Monument in Promontory, Utah, you will find Goji Berries growing all over the place. The Chinese workers planted them there back in the 1880's, and they have flourished. I got some cutting from there 2 years ago, and they are 4 feet tall now.
@JPthebeeman How you doin JP? We eat them fresh off the bush daily, and we pick several bunches of them all summer, to dry for winter. They are best fresh, but pretty good dried also. They are really good for you too. I've lost weight since I have been eating them instead of cupcakes! Shawee could really benefit from that!!!!!
@JPthebeeman Right off the bush, they are sweet and juicy but they don't taste like any berry you have ever tasted. I've had people say they taste different than any berry they have ever had, but everyone agrees that they are delicious.
Goji comes from Northern China, where it is cold, so they do real well here in Idaho. I know folks in the south are growing them, but I haven't heard how well they do. I think they would do find, since they are very hardy.
Will these grow in Utah?
