APRIL 8 2011: Harper says contract shelters Canada from increase in F-35 costs

After launching his platform in Mississauga, Harper takes questions from reporters. On rising F-35 costs, he says that Canada is "[sheltered] from any increases in those kinds of costs" and that the government is "confident of our cost estimates."

You are now just grasping at straws...Pretending that Harper lied about the cost of F-35 purchase by throwing up numbers for the entire program makes you look real dishonest or incompetent.

Please point to a fighter jet development in the last 30 years that came in on budget and on time.

We could just cut the CBC funding to help pay for it.. Big boy nations are able to defend their sovereignty before they fund make work projects in media.

Ya my response is a bit off maybe it was meant for someone else... anyhow. To add to the F35. Most of the costs is question are because they did not use Pilots and Fuel in the estimates. using personnel and fuel is never done in estimates, they are considered part of the CF and are payed for by the yearly budget of the military. Everything is blown out of proportion and Harper is doing a piss shit job of explaining everything properly.

The Liberal robocalls in Guelph were not related to the misdirection calls, they failed to identify the party, and were claimed as an expense with no attempt to hide the mistake that could see some charges be laid. They have nothing to do with Harper's F-35 lie.

The media is just looking for kicker ratings, against the conservatives. P.S liberals were also under investigation for Robo calls but the reports stop and move on to the F35 before the investigations were complete. Canadian media is getting just as bad as the American media.

You should know that the 25 billion includes costs such as Pilots pay and Fuel for patrols, its utter stupidity to add those. No where in the history of our nations military purchases have they ever added pilots pay and fuel costs into a military purchase... Its fucking stupidity. The fact is we do not know... Another fact is if we start a open bidding we lose our development discount and will have to pay 200 million an aircraft if we go back to the F35. none of this is ever reported.
