Bat Cave Filming Location at Bronson Canyon

Yes, there is a bat cave....but....this location was used for many other movies and television films. Everything from science fiction to westerns! Hey even Combat! used this site with Vic Morrow and Rick Jason ! The site is located above Griffith Park and not far from Paramount Gower. The most popular view is the exit where the Batmobile leaves from. If you walk inside you will see two exits to the backside and from one vantage point back there you can clearly see the famous Hollywood sign on the next ridge over! Now, not to mess anyone up, the interior of the batcave where the dynamic duo slides down the pole and into the car was shot on a soundstage, they only used the large entrance for the scene where the Batmobile leaves the cave. A neat place to visit!

I was in Griffith Park the day they shot the footage of the Batmobile going down the road........they use the same shot over and over in the show........ Can't remember seeing the cave........ Was just on a drive with my Godparents that day, when we came across 20 Century Fox movie cameras and VIP cars. And then all of a sudden the Batmobile was there. This was before the show was ever aired.....

I had no idea. I could imagine some guy saying to the producers Hey! I know where theres a hole in a hillside that we can use for the bat cave!
