This talk will explore how researchers and practitioners in the field are fighting the childhood obesity epidemic. Attendees will learn about some of the cutting edge research in the field, particularly looking at multi-level, community based interventions that show promising results. Attendees will also learn about guidelines, recommendations, and standards currently being employed to promote and sustain charge.

Christina Economos is the Associate Director of the John Hancock Research Center on Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Obesity Prevention, the New Balance Chair in Childhood Nutrition, and an Associate Professor at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and the School of Medicine, Tufts University. She serves on the Institute of Medicine's Committee on an Evidence Framework for Obesity Prevention Decision-Making.
