Outlander Casting Video

Just my vision of what the characters may look like if ever the book is made into a movie. Yes, I have characters from other books in there, but they popped in my head when I was reading. And sadly everyone keeps getting older so the pics are basically what I envision when I read the book - not necessarily the character they can play now.
Since I ran out of music for my video, here are the actors, in order of "appearance"
Jason Isaacs as Frank/BJR (I haven't found many people to argue on this one, though Rufus Sewell might work)
Tommy Flanagan as Murtaugh (I keep wanting to make Murtaugh chubby and jolly, but I just did my 4th reread of Outlander and DG describes him as skinny and weasel faced)
Mel Gibson as Dougal (this one I could take/leave, but quite a fetching pic of the kilt)
Liam Neeson as Collum (another I could go either way on, he may be too handsome for Collum)
Sophia Myles as Laoghaire (that pic seems to encompass the beauty and innocence with something sinister brewing underneath)
Tilda Swinton as Geillis (she did such a good job as the White Witch)
Laura Fraser as Jenny (She's both Scottish and her last name is Fraser, what more could you ask for?)
Jeremy Northam as Ian Sr. (not really what I picture, but alas, he's so handsome and will always be "My Mr. Knightly")
Joseph Gordon Levitt as Ian Jr. (he's American, but has done some excellent Indie stuff, plus he has the longer face)
Olivier Martinez as Fegus (handsome french guy, what can I say)
Olivia Williams as Claire (or I could see Kate Winslet or Rachel Weisz with a perm and Nice and Easy coloring)
Gerard Butler as Jamie (not exactly a 20 something virgin with red hair, but so many people talked about him "being" Jamie that it actually started my love of Outlander picturing him as such)
Matthew Goode as Roger (he's British, but has Roger's really green eyes)
Anneliese van der Pol as Brianna (another one of those that is hard, but she is tall with red hair)
Jude Law as LJG (he has an air of sofistication with a touch of metrosexuality added)
Frances Fisher as Aunt Jocasta (she exudes arrogance so well)
Billy Connolly as Duncan (he could play anybody for all I care, I just love Billy Connelly)
and Sean Bean as Stephen Bonnett (he's such a good villain).
Music is "To the Stars" by Randy Edelman originally in the "Dragonheart" soundtrack, but Disney uses it as the music in some of their previews before they have a soundtrack.

I personally think that Jamie should be played by Kevin McKidd. He is a highlander, has beautiful blue eyes and red hair. Plus he is tall and very handsome.

I like Kevin McKidd, but not so much as Jamie - though GB is too old to play Jamie now though...Maybe we could throw McKidd in there for Dougal since Mel Gibson isn't doing too much these days.

I've read the whole saga till now, except the

" Echo in the bone"....so i feel every characture of the book familiar enough and the main couple

(Jamie and Claire) are in their 50s.

In a point the length of the story has made impossible the adaption of the saga to a movie.

Will it be Jamie in his 20+ ,after Culloden Jamie or Jamie as the Lord of Fraser Point ?

Hard to chose.....IMHO, it should be a trilogy....with Gerard Butler DEFINITELY being one of Jamies !

jason isaccs! wow amazing choice &the girl for loaghire! really well-thought out and so as for jude law! but what i didnt like at all was ur choice for claire! the woman in there seems too prim and proper! i pic claire as some1 who doesnt give a damn abt how she looks, there4 always havin her curly hair wild,not realizin how beautiful she actually is and from what i see in the picture this woman knows pink will compliment her skin colour! kate winslet would definitely hve been a better choice.

i see that ppl keep thinkin that Butler won't do so well as Jamie...but like you i think hes perfect! well hes got the accent for one...but most of all even when Jamie was in his 20s i never pictured a young man...i just couldnt because just in his 20s he had seen/endured a lot more than anybody else and even tho a virgin i pictured him to look a lil more mature for 20-and gb looks perfect for it! and the young guys nowadays dont have that level of maturity goin on for them

Well we've just got to get Gerard Butler in there somewhere.. . Dang dang dang that he's 20 years too old for a 22-year-old virgin Jamie. Whoever is cast is hiding in some bit part in a soap opera somewhere.

Dream heads of clans: Christopher Walken, Russle Crowe, Ian Holms, Ian McKellen; ...and Johnny Depp can play every other male part that isn't Jamie. Can we forgive Mel Gibson and Alec Baldwin now?

Excellent casting. I found myself smiling and squealing the whole time through this! I think Gerard Butler would have been perfect several years ago but he won't pass for 23, he's older than me (43). I was thinking maybe Chris Hemsworth would be good. I liked him in Thor. I REALLY hope they made a movie!
