  • I have heard that people from Perth, Australia are not welcome in Perth, Scotland...

In fact, Ive heard that it's not safe for Perth (Aus) people to visit...

  • @Hammersley1967 Perth is a very friendly and warm town with many visitors from all over the world returning time and time again. It is a busy town steeped in history but certainly not dangerous or hostile to Australians. In fact many Australians have Scottish ancestors and family. I would invite you to come to Perth and find out for yourself how friendly the Perth people are to strangers and visitors. I would be happy to show you the area.

  • Perth is a beautiful city, because I live there! It's a shame how the council had to cancel the construction on the new bridge

  • @Hammersley1967 I live in perth and would make you very welcome. I have never heard what you are saying before. I hope you do come and visit perth and if you do then get in touch and i will be very happy to show you the sites, and of course go out for a wee dram.

  • @cottagescotland

Maybe I got it mixed up...

I think it could be people from Perth, Tasmania, that are not welcome...

I'd love to bring my mum...

  • @TheStuffyStuff Their building Next and New Look.

Im still waiting for the 'And now look at Perth'

  • :) glad i live there (well near it)

  • My Grandad was from Perth, i used to love visiting.

  • @aduncan2212 I'm also a Duncan but not from Perth ( which I think is one of Scotland's nicest cities ) oh I sure miss Scotland. On our last trip we were heading back south to East Kilbride, I was starved and stopped in Perth for fish and chips, ate them in a parking lot in our rental car.

Oh I can still taste it, absolutely brilliant it was, I live in a large city in the interior of B.C. and have been in Canada for many years but I'll always miss Scotland.
