14 I Don't Wanna Do It (Acoustic Version)

Here is a rare song of George Harrison,
he recorded it during a rehearsal at 1970.
George let Phil Spector hear some songs he had written
arround the „All Things Must Pass Time.
I think George had a little cold when he did it,
because if you listen carefully,
you can hear him coughing in a few songs.
It's from a bootleg called „Beware Of ABKCO
I hope you enjoy :-)

  • This is the best version. Less is more.

  • Another one is "I'll Still Love You", recorded a pass during ATMP sessions but never saw the light of day until 1979 when Ringo cut it. A shame as it would have made a great George track.

  • My cuz Mike covered this song. R.I.P. Mike.:(

  • this sounds so sweet...... i dont wanna say good byyy

  • George might have waited 15 years to record this song but I bet it only took Bob 15 minutes to write it. That doesn't mean it isn't a sweet song -- and a touching vocal performance by George. But this is almost a definition of a throwaway -- although one with two great artists behind it.

  • His voice is so clear & wonderful. This version just emphasizes his beautiful voice. It sounds like he's right next to me, leaning on my shoulder....

  • Nice acoustic version.I would love to hear a Dylan version.

  • Look how long it took to release Not Guilty

  • Just to clear this up...all of these bootleg tracks were recorded in 1970. So what if George's official version of this song wasn't released until 1984? As has already been pointed out, this isn't the only time something like that happened.

As for this version itself...quite good! Another reason I want the album.

  • yeah, I have to agree. no idea why he would sit on this song for long, but this is definitely sounds like the 1970-ish George, no queston.
