I think their worst album was Zeitgeist, at least up until then all their lyrics were entirely honest and deep.

The Smashing Pumpkins have always had an emotional element in their music. Even their new stuff, songs like "Gossamer" and "Antichrist" still have that powerful driven sound by Chamberlin's drumming and Corgan's unique voice.
