RIP Billy Taylor, you taught us SO much, give thanks for your generous spirit and caring for the arts beyond others. Had seen you throughout my youth through WGBH, PBS and NPR in Boston. In the early 80's you were one of North Carolina School of the Arts greatest mentors, recognized for your magnificent gifts before others hd courage to do it!

Saw Dr.Billy Taylor backstage during last April at the Kennedy Center during the George Benson Concert. What a strong minded warm individual!
