Is Luke's Wall best done two finger lead, thumb and index?

If you want to play it 'rockgrass' style using the tricky 'scruggs roll' that Don-Wayne uses on the banjo - You'd have to ask him the specifics for that section - it would be hard to produce a banjo TAB that covered the way he plays it. - If you want to play 'Walpurgis', or just 'Luke's Wall' in the style of Tony Iommi, then use a Jaydee Custom S.G and a pick...and practice lots. Hope that helps! d:oD

On banjo, that would likely be an alternating roll, except with just the thumb and index.

20 years ago, Satriani and Steve Vai were the musicians I wanted to be able to play like. Now it's Don Wayne and Dale Reno! Any guitarists out there should try some banjo and mandolin picking. These guys are superb musicians - Les Claypool (a banjo player) should get Buckethead to play some bluegrass! - It's not about what you play though, it's how well you play it. A good musician should be able to tackle any style of music.

agreed, anarchist. people can dump on this band all they want, doesn't change the fact that they are wildly talented and worthy.

In my opinion, There is no point in covering any song, unless you can bring something different to it. To attempt to bring something new to an old time Sabbath classic like this,
had better be bloody good. And this is. To have a band cover your song, with this much diligence and aptitude must be high praise indeed!
