I test rode one today, and it was a blast. Ok not as quick as our Triumph RS, but hey, its a different kettle of fish all together. It brakes much better than my sportsbike, and the level of grip in corners is tops. i dont think we'll buy it though as we're a little worried from a re sale point of view. But then you would buy one of these to be different...and different they are.
so how about a braking test (dry seal, wet seal and gravel) against a single front wheeled rival (to be fair, with a ballast on the footboards of the rival, to equalise the weight penalty)??
Like the idea of extra independent contact patch for braking and steering up front. Would like a more 'motorcycly' option of chassis-mounted engine/trans, manual gears and larger tank.
@viggoM35 ..I have one..and anything over 49ccs requires a motor cycle addition on the state drivers lisence

I understand (in the US) it's considered a scooter thus you're not required to have a motorcycle endorsement on your driving license.

I think it looks cool. I could see these as props in some sci-fi movie.

Great start, Piaggio.

Hi
Thanks. Yep, they're weird cattle, though they ride very much like a normal motorcycle, just with heaps more front end grip. Interesting toys...
All the best
