If you enjoy the surround sound of a good brass band, then here is a real treat. The world renowned Black Dyke Band is currently touring Australia. They're from the Yorkshire village of Queensbury in the UK, and were formed 150 years ago.

The band has won many, many competitions and last year they took out the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain for the 21st time. The band is just about to wind up its first tour to Australia in two decades.

  • IT's a joy to see this BAND over the internet.I don't have the funds to go over to see them there or ever see them if they come to the States. This is s a treat to come to YOU TUBE to see just about any musical organization or person.I come almost everyday of the week because I'm a music lovers of many kinds. Thanks YOU TUBE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS.

  • Fantastic playing lads. Black Dyke are brilliant but not the most famous Brass Band in the world, just one of them.

Besses o'th Barn Band have a rightful challenge to be, at least as, if not more, famous as Black Dyke. Besses can trace their history as far back as 1818. Besses have been at the top but not with the consistancy of Black Dyke. Besses left Whitefield, near Manchester for two world tours between 1906 and 1911. New Zealand and Australia were both on the schedule

  • Excellent! Glad to see the guys are enjoying themselves in Oz!

Very good to see the video of the radio broadcast!
