  • I very much recommend listening to these videos in HQ audio (link in description); I have taken every step to ensure superior stereo quality within the confines of YouTube.

I plan to upload Grumiaux's entire Bach cycle. For a violinist of such stature, he is underrepresented on YT, and his Bach is one of the pinnacle recordings of the whole of violinistic art.

  • I listen exclusively to Arthur Grumiax recordings for all the Bach and Beethoven Sonatas. He's quite the violinist.Plays exceptionally cleanly and demonstrates a firm grasp of stylistic taste. He has quite a comprehensive stock of recordings on YouTube. :) Excellent recordings,to add to that.

  • jannine jansen is my favorite

but this guys ok i guess...

  • Speechless,... Thanks for sharing.

  • Es música que surge de la música, que surge de la música . . . que surge de las cuatro cuerdas de un violín. Como escribió ME Walsh, Bach "nos está contando un cuento / que no acabará jamás / Dios le dicta el argumento / al señor Juan Sebastián."

  • Arthur Grumiaux's interpretation of the sonatas and partitias are clearly more superior to any other recording, bar none.

  • As Andrew Zap says below..."Elegant"... I would add...aristocratic...

  • so much soul

  • The most classical and elegant interpretion that I know. Grumiaux's Beethoven concerto is also a gem. I heard him live at the festival in Stavelo, Belguim in the early 70's. If I could sound like anyone, I would choose Artur Grumiaux
