  • frogmistres Comment was a good one . I found that if I stood next to my couch at first with my calf up against it I could keep my balance if I wobbled... I only needed to do that for a couple of days" Use what you can in yoga to help you along.

  • is it normal to be really shaky?

  • At the beginning yes you will be shaky . Once your ankle and leg gets more stable it will be fine.

  • How long to perform each pose?

  • As long as you can comfortably hold it .

  • @trinaityangel omg me to!!

  • @hazelhybrid Hi. I can't tell if someone answered your question. I've been practicing yoga for 7 yrs & can tell you with the tree pose, there is a variation that you can do that will ease you into the more difficult one. Take your foot and lay it against your thigh in front, instead of inside. You can hold it there until you are comfortable letting go. Eventually, you will be able to put the foot inside the thigh. Be patient, your body will adjust accordingly. Let me know if questions.

  • Lol! I keep falling over and my left leg is not strong enough to stay in that position

I will try holding the wall

  • Greetings from San Francisco! Hey guys, I'm a weight lifter and I have to say that this pose is tough, especially since I have much bigger hamstrings than you guys. Do you have any advice for a muscular guy who wants to do yoga?
