  • Isn't the tape pretty high up on the heel? My physio said that you shouldn't tape that high otherwise it hits the Achilles tendon.

  • @KittysFeet, no it's not to high up, i am a physical therapist. It should be just distal to the achilles insertion or right at it. It should NOT be over the achilles tendon.

  • MrDrBulla, I am assuming you meant to write medial to lateral to resist supination.... the technique i showed here was from lateral to medial to resist pronation.

  • What kind of tape are you using here?

  • Another little tip is you can tape from lateral to medial which still supports the MLArch but helps to resist the ankle rolling into supination which is the most common form of ankle roll injuries (supination & plantarflexion).
