Wake Surfing is similar to wakeboarding, except after initially getting up out of the water, the surfer does not need to be pulled by a rope because they can simply ride the wave behind the boat.
In order for a boats to create a wave suitable for wakesurfing, the boat needs to be weighted down to the back and to one side. This is done by filling up "fat sacks" which are like mini waterbeds and putting them on one side of the boat. These sacs can weigh up to 1000 pounds when full
