  • It's sad, but nobody will understand the pride people take in being mixed. I have friends who are 100% of one race, and those that are 100% black are like "shut up Obama's the first black president" I'm like "He's the first mixed president, he does have black in him which makes it basically a double first...but he's not the first 100% black president".

  • Did you miss the whole point of what he is talking about?

  • I thought hapa stood for asian hispanics

  • I am hapa ...

  • Asian and Euro genes do make good-looking girls, guys, couldn't say. The women in the beginning look fantastic, maybe even the granny in her younger days.

Asian and black genes? Three words: meh and ugh.

  • @TallT703 Yea I've made that point to like 100 people lol. and they say "nooo nooo he claims to be black so it doesnt matter if he's actually mixed). haha, fuckin idiots...

  • No one..and I mean NO ONE that lives in the United States is 100% WHITE or Black. History has dictated and records have shown that A mix started a LOOONG time ago. Perhaps Everyone has a mix of another culture in them...one way or another.

  • @TallT703 No offense, but it wasn't until the 80s that Blacks have had the privilege of identifying with their non-Black side(s). If you look in American history, Homer Plessy (Plessy v. Ferguson), Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. DuBois, etc. have actually been mixed, but they were all forced into the Black/Negro category because they had African heritage. Because of American rulings until recently, many African Americans prefer being called Black.

    ... yes, I know I'm 2 years too late. I'm sorry

  • None of my "100%" friends of any race understood - or understand, still - what it was like to not be able to check two boxes! It is nice to finally be officially recognized as existing! I think this is something only another hapa can understand because it is so important to our identities.
