An Italian favorite gets a below the border twist. Chef Meg made just a few tweaks before giving this one her seal of approval! She adds the spices early in cooking to help boost flavor and added a full pound of turkey for a more filling meal. * Calories: 423.7 * Total Fat: 20.6 g * Cholesterol: 105.0 mg * Sodium: 839.9 mg * Total Carbs: 28.2 g * Dietary Fiber: 3.2 g * Protein: 33.7 g

  • Jenny-O makes ground turkey, all the Walmarts (in my area anyway) have it in there meat dept, next to the chicken.

  • Ground turkey made with "dark meat" is higher in fat content.

If made with only "white meat", it is about the same as the leanest ground beef...93% at our local markets

  • i think she means just really lean ground turkey.

  • how can you get ground turkey breast? I looked 4 that stuff all over the place.

  • good I so wish I could eat that

  • it's salsa "v-air-dey" (closest I can think to help non-native speakers to say it).

Can you make any vegetarian recipes?

  • Did you know that Lean Ground Beef is actually healthier for you than Ground Turkey? The fat content in Turkey is 15g while lean ground beef is only 9g.
