  • I'm so filled right now... I had this album as a child that's been over 43 years ago. My father brought this for me we buried him on today.Watching this on YouTube just warms my heart.. thank you for the memories. Dotrye. W

  • I started crying watching this. I had Melody Time for VHS as a kid and would watch this almost every day until someone stole this and most of my other Disney tapes. I can't stop watching these now.

  • I saw this video in public school in Southern California numerous times in the late 1970's. Always one of my best memories of public school (how it was)

  • There is no God

  • was this Dennis Day singing the song? Sure does sound like him

  • @slashermaster28 It's hard to do Johnny Appleseed without some sort of religious content. The real Johnny Appleseed, John Chapman, was a very religious person even for the age in which he lived. Most of what he did came from his religious convictions.

  • this is my childhood!

  • Thank you Johnny Appleseed. This is the catchiest song of my childhood.

  • Now I want an Apple! Thank you lord for giving us Johnny Appleseed!

  • Well, he must be good at balancing, cause how the heck can he stand on those limbs and not fall off! If I were him I'd be worrying about falling.

  • we used to sing this at Minnemanka, i remember it with fond memories at Camp, along with POLAR BEAR!!

  • It's funny, when my dad and I first saw this, we were both surprised by this very song. Mostly because Disney rarely ever implemented religious themes into his cartoons outside of Fantasia, so this just caught us off-guard. Still, though, this is a beautiful song and whenever I'm watering flowers, you can bet I sing it to myself.
