I would like to see someone post the scene between Elaine and Danny where they realize they really do love each other. I remember that as one of the best scenes ever on television.

they were great together! It was really a sad episode when they killed her character off! Dannys character kind of floundered after that for the rest of the series!

@62Elvis Yeah, she was doing Grease at the same time, she was doing this! And quite frankly, her charater in Grease wasn't all that disimilar to her character here.

Dinah Manoff was Smoking Hot in FHM, Soap, Empty Nest & Grease

@GoldenGal42 I bet only Lefkowitz and his first wife knew about it, and he was sworn to not tell anyone, nor lay a finger on Burt, when she died. But he took advantage of any mobster crossing Burt's path, and gave orders to destroy. That's probably why Johnny Dallas was out to get Burt in the first place!

I put up the scene where Elaine comes home from being kidnapped and dies in dannys arms it's really sweet. Go check it out. It's under Soap - elaine's death

I just loved this relationship.

If anyone still wants to see the scene in which Elaine explains to Danny why she's the way she is, just search for Soap Season 2 Episode 7. It's Part 1 of 3.
I would've liked to have seen it been revealed that Burt Campbell was Elaine's real father and neither Burt nor Elaine knew it. It would've explained Lefkowitz's scorn for Elaine at her wedding, and her sister's funeral, and why the mob was always sending out contracts to kill Burt. What do you think?

@dubs19842009 The mob hated Bert because he killed somebody who worked for them (Mary's first husband) and the father hated Elaine because... he's a jerk. A nice idea... could work. But think how long that would have taken! Though if he knew it was Bert, he would have killed him years ago. Perhaps Elaine wasn't his (and it was Bert) but nobody except the mother knew... that could have worked.

GoldenGal42, This used to be one of my favorite soaps, but truthfully Danny and Polly Dawson stood out the most in my memories, I guess because I really enjoy(ed) their 'chemistry'. I also get a kick out of interracial storylines, which during the 70's were few and far between, but some couples seemed to make it work (I waited so long for that kiss between Marilyn McCoo and A J on 'It Takes A Thief'.). Thanks for the memories.
