After some investigation I found that the #1 exhaust valve was pulling thru the valve retainer. See how I fixed the problem in about an hour and I didn't remove the head!!!

  • as far as y can see on the vid , the 4th valve is also wearing!! look at 4.15!

  • Did the same thing on a Continental Z120 in a 1946 Ferguson, just last summer.....used a few simple tools, head stayed on, less than 1 hour to do the set.

  • I love the sound! The benefits of rocker arms versus OHV cams with followers. Easy to get the spring compressor on there! Good find, that valve looked about ready to drop!
