The Banham x21 is a Rover Metro based kit car. It is supposed to resemble an Audi TT crossed with the new VW Beetle but we modified ours to look more like the TT.

  • Hi all, i am contemplating buying a Banham X21 from done deal and doing it up but I cant seem to source any parts... I need windows, a soft top, a clutch, a battery and some mechanisms... i believe the car was build off of a Metro chasis using The Banham Conversions Kit. Any ideas on where i could get parts? Any ideas on the windscreen, thats my biggest problem apart from the soft top?

  • @ciath All the details used to be on the Banham X21 website but it got taken down because someone kept hacking into it. The windows are just the metro windows cut to follow the new roof line, soft top has to be custom made of you could cut up a real TT roof like we did. All the other stuff (clutch, battery etc.) comes with the metro you choose. The metro windscreen should fit the kit.

  • Why would anyone replicate an Audi TT?

I can understand a R8 but a TT you can go out and buy one of those cheap.

  • @vfIskullangel

I was a new driver when my dad started building the car. I had always wanted a TT but its impossible to afford and get insurance for a TT when your only 17 ^_^ so my dad made me one Lol!

Believe me, if they had an R8 kit, that would definatly be the next project :D
