I like her ideas of how you should use an artist that is willing to collaborate closely with the composer. It makes sense that it would create fluidity and coherence to the soundtrack and score. As she stated, if they do not collaborate and are on their own page then the sequence can have dramatic changes from score to music and back.

This is an interesting video. I would have liked to maybe have seen some of the footage that was being shown, but that is my opinion.

Its amazing how expensive it can get for big budget movies to create their own score. So it does makes sense to use independent bands to fill in for the score at a much lower cost with a finish product and not a big orchestra that cost several hundred grand daily.

The music in movies doesn't really matter to me but now I think I will pay attention more to it because it takes a lot to pick it.

I've never been a huge fan of movie music, unless its by an artist I recognize but now I see how much work goes into it I have to say i kind of admire it.
