US Deputy State Secretary in Uganda

Visiting US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns is calling for thorough investigation and prosecution of state agents cited in human rights abuses during recent opposition protests. Speaking to NTV at his first stop at a clinic off Entebbe road, Burns said citizens must be allowed to express themselves peacefully in any democratic society.
Burns dismissed allegations that the US government funds the protests spearheaded by Activists for Change (A4C) pressure group. The Deputy Secretary of State is slated to meet President Museveni and later the civil society to discuss good governance, regional security and respect for human rights.

William Burns ought to question Museveni as to how he can buy himself a $50 million jet, $100 million mansion (inter alia). Ugandan hospitals are rotting, schools crumbled years ago, people are barefoot and hungry, the population is becoming desperate and he, Museveni, tops it by rigging another election. Better, how about having an American President stay in power for 30 years!

There will never be media freedom in this world, even here in USA main stream media is 100% controlled & sed by sitting govts. check how the CNN reports on USA & Iran stand off, how they reported on Libya war, reports in Syria and Africa in general. They cannot even report objectively, see how the police is humiliating & manhandle people during the OWS demos against the greedy financial institutions here.
