When his John Dummer Blues Band broke up, he formed the Famous Music Band.
Consisting of John Dummer (drums), Nick Pickett (vocals, guitar, violin, organ), Adrian Pietryga (guitar) and Ian Thomson (bass guitar).
Nine By Nine was a huge hit in France.
I remember being on holiday in France with my family in .. 71? and heard this everywhere. Bought the record over there - never heard it in the UK. (Also bought the SINGLE of Meddle by Pink Floyd at the same time...)

Someone told me long ago that Nine By was used as incidental music in a performance of Ionesco's The Rhineoceros, back 'round '71, '72, in Paris. Anyone else know about this?
