At present the immaculate Tyseley Castle is the fastest GWR machine on the mainline. It beat me to Saunderton and got to the stops at Marylebone before me too! So this is the clip of The Beckoning Bard being lovingly attended before returning light engine to Tysley while catching its breath in London after a storming performance starting twelve hours earlier at the very same station. In between visiting High Wycombe,Haddenham, and Stratford upon Avon. See the chaps from Tyseley cleaning, watering and raking over the coal after a long day, but not over yet. The characters in the clip were all part of the trip and note the T shirts! The loco was superbly turned out, what a paint job! Three Pullman cars and several mark 1 carriages also turned out to a high standard, On the other end was a class 47 47580 See PT 2 for Class 47 action. Is that Pete Waterman in the baseball cap with 5045 looking very energetic even after along day on a shovel?
Coool! Are you on the end of the platform as the ecs with 47580 goes away in the distance,at marylebone, I was on the other side as you can guess from my shot. I was thinking of going on that side, lucky- i woud have met Mr HI VIZ! Interesting work, I had a look at your vids and they are getting really good, Do you use a tripod much, I am thinking of getting one. T. fontedeimarmi.
