@Hibbs4Prez "Safe", hm? That's funny. Most people prefer SGA over SG-1 due to the fact that they typically had a lot more going on, from problems with the city to galactic-wide crises. It was not a reread by any stretch, and you're an idiot to call it one. Too many totally unreasonable character interactions and pointless subplots killed SGU. Example: Jack/Sheppard would have immediately either shot or locked up Rush, despite his credentials, for marooning the base personnel. THAT is period.

fmcc0904 Heck, you can say SGU was just as influnced by VOY, DS9, Babylon 5, Space Above and Beyond as well as BSG. But the point is it try to take the Stargate franchise into new directions rather than be a retread of SG1, which is what the "safe" SGA did. Period. It is only a shame that Stargate fans in general only can handle more of the same.
