@Sweetmervs I have read about that on the IMDb. I know he was the director for "Watchmen"- but I did not see that. Some people have confidence in him because he has already directed a comic book film. But some people remember Bryan Singer had directed "X-Men 1 & 2" as they heard he was directing "Superman Returns"- and he failed to pass it off as a true superhero movie. Fans now say they need to stop trying to recreate the old movies and start doing things in a brand new style like with Batman.

@Supersweetguy I do not think it is bad at all- that shows they finally are getting around to it and no longer having all its plans remaining in limbo. I just hope it is the good Superman movie I have always wanted to see and not another bad movie like "Superman Returns" which seemed more like a soap opera than a superhero flick. These comic book movies are supposed to be about the heroes fighting villains- not them meeting the son they never knew they had.

@JLC31383 What i was saying was are you disappointed that the rebooted Superman franchise would be released Dec 2012 or even summer of 2013? For that reason why would that be a bad idea?

It has now been confirmed that the Superman reboot will be out in theaters in either Christmas 2012 or summer 2013. David Goyer has been hired to write the script and is considering Lex Luthor & Brainiac as the villains. It is likely there will be no origin story and all characters will be presented as if we already know who they are.
