Lyda Anne Thomas - Mayor of Galveston, TX

Here my co-anchor on the News loses her cool with me. I don't know the mayor of Galveston's name. Thinking that the mayor's name in the script is a typo, I riff-off a suitable replacement name...e.g. "Lynda". Marlo broke into my read and hastily corrected me. It was rather awkard and snark, but since I was still trying to read the rest of the story my response had to wait. My complaint is, if I sound like an ass, please just smoothly correct the mistake when you read. I had to go to my happy place to save the radio show from my natural reaction to say, "What is your damn problem?!"
