"Lipstick" ain't sexist, but "I hate the gooks" IS Racist

John McCain has a history of referring to Vietnamese people as "gooks," an offensive racial slur.

He has monetarily and politically supported white supremacists, endorsed white supremacists, and been endorsed by white supremacists, including Richard Quinn, George Wallace, Jr, and others. He has supported and endorsed members of all three branches American hate groups: the neo-KKK; the racist religious anti-Semites; and the neo-Confederates.

What does it mean that McCain is both racist and warmongering in his behavior? Each attribute reinforces the other.

This narrator has ruthlessly pursued McCain for his racism but he offers no balance. What about the horrors McCain faced at the inhumanity of torture in a Vietnamese war camp? What about the racism in Vietnam today? I've been to Vietnam and they ALL call White people 'gweilo' which is a racist term. Their attitude to Blacks is even worse. Asians are extremely racist in their own countries. Why don't you get off your soap box and preach to the Vietnamese, or even better the Chinese?

If anyone has the right to use the word gook it is John McCain. Who ever is making this argument that McCain is racist is rediculous. The guy was tortured for years by Gooks in Vietnam. There are many great asian people in the world. But the ones he is referring to are the Gooks in Vietnam that tortured he and his fellow american soldiers. Quit trying to turn this into something it is not.

you know what i am not a mccain supporter in the least, well not the mccain that sold his soul to get elected anyway. but the man is an american hero and was tortured for 5 years by these people he refers to as "gooks". i would love to see the narrator tortured that long by a group of people and see how he feels about them although he sounds like a fuckin pussy to me and probably would not last 5 seconds.
