  • MY & ID has been ranked by freedom house to be more democratic. i'm not the one who ranks it :) political dialogue is more open in these countries. bloggers in MY can criticise the govt. of course religious dialogue is not as open as SG :)

  • for a "neutral". u don't sound very neutral. either u're pro-PAP or u're "brainwashed" by the system or whatever other scenario u can be. yes i must say i'm not very good with the JBJ issue since info on SG's political issues are limited :) if u think SG enjoys a lot of benefits, have u actually worked overseas & compared?

  • Malaysia & Indonesia more democratic than SG??? LmaooooL!!! Whoever u are, i sincerely wish you go live in either of this 2 countries and don't ever come to SG. Hope u don't eat your words, lol! U guys have some "nice" ideas, but your ideas is to ask for the rights to anything and everything. In Fatasia, that would be most "democratic" but realistically, you wake up to the Real world every morning. This is my last comment.

  • Wow, u are really amazing. When did i said i believed your erratic infos? Maybe you should go read up some books about what happen with JBJ from 1986-1988. LoL! ISD? haha i take it completely as flattering~! Why don't u say i'm from the cabinet? Maybe i'm somebody big... Anyhow, not wanting to stray away from the main topic, I still believe as a neutral, workers here in SG enjoy much benefits which our counter parts in oversea can only hope for.

  • apologies as i got mixed up with court battles... JBJ had not won any court cases since they are in SG. only international NGOs were allowed to observe his court proceedings. only Devan Nair was the one that had a fair trial in Canada. I was surprised u believed me :)

  • <Sad to say, Western "so called-Democratic" countries, are not our immediate neighbours. :)>

u have malaysia & indonesia who are ranked more democratic than SG. it will only be a matter of time they play catch up :)

  • china although powerful will certainly do well as a working class society since it is keeping to its communist roots. however, they will slowly break into a more democratic role as more & more middle class become more aware. we r even seeing a peaceful protest in xiamen :) there were even some elements of elections in villages :)

  • lol does it matter if one is a voter or not? ohhh does it mean i'm talking to someone in ISD? this should be fun :) the trial of pinochet was done in spain :) many dictators have had their trials in international court of justice. try not to mix politics with economy :) this is justice we want :)

  • it is highly unlikely since pretty much all LKY cases sued against XXX opposition fails. Having a third party judge in another country certainly helps to give a more independent view and thus a fairer trial. the QC that fought 4 JBJ is George Carman. perhaps he might be lying, perhaps not, but he certainly seems 1 of the best.

  • Sad to say, Western "so called-Democratic" countries, are not our immediate neighbours. :) Which Asian country is fore-casted by almost all present day economists to be leading the Asian economy in a few decades time? China. Is China modelling itself after the U.S.A or the E.U.? No. This ends my debate with u. I'd prefer to exchange views with someone who has a stake in Singapore, rather than just an observer.
