  • @Dannypuck Bob Boving. He had a warm and hearty vocal delivery in every CBC programming spot until Tony Daniels replaced him circa 2002, the 50th anniversary of the CBC TV network.

  • @Dannypuck It's Bob Boving, who's now the voice of TVO.

  • Who was the voiceover person?

  • @Dan1988A Well, the light blue you see here is for the afternoon. The more subdued-blue would be for mid-morning, the rainbow colours would be used during sunrise and early evening, and the black and purple would be used after nightfall.

  • Actually it works by wich party is in power, back in these days, it was the conservatives hense the blue, today it's still red because the conservatives haven't won a majority government yet, if they do, they will rebrand everything, it's probably already done.

  • OK, someone explain the system with the colour for me. Which colours would be used for the different times of the day?

  • Oh yeah, that's right, they were using different id styles depending on the time of day at the time. The sound clip really stands in my mind. Great clip!

  • This is the afternoon version of CBC Television's 1986-1992 station IDs.
