Time Lapse I did with my Canon Powershot S5 IS digital camera. It was rather cold in my room (where I did this) so...it took over two hours for the ice to melt down that far. Hence why I didn't let it melt all the way down. Frame rate is 3FPS. It's 249 frames long which were taken 30 seconds apart.

  • Too slow

  • @mulleolsen I don't recall asking for your opinion.

  • I have heard that the canon powershot s5 is does not have timelapse, but this video proves that it does...right?

ps:im 100 bucks away from buying it.

  • I had it connected to my computer for this. There is no time lapse feature on the camera itself, only through Canon's EOS camera function that you install on your computer. Allows you to control every aspect from your screen.

  • Nice video- the only problem was that the glass started to fog up so you couldn't see it too well. I have an S3 IS and the intervolometer built in only does it once a minute- is there a way to use the computer with the USB like some were talking about with the S3 to get it to take like once every 10 seconds or once every 20 seconds?

  • I'm not sure...check your product discs.

  • @RB5566 Sorry, i was giving you an advise :)

  • mmmhh very good idea but the video.... its so boring...

  • Hey i found out later that you can have Time Lapse on S5 too, or "intervalometer" like they call it.

Type "S5IS - CHDK Wiki" on Google, and the link will the the first on top.

I havent tried it yet but there are lots of other features you can add to you S5 with it.
