The national AIDs and other sexually transmitted infections control program, NASCOP, is to launch a major 3 week HIV and AIDs testing campaign targeting at least one million Kenyans starting from Monday. NASCOP estimates that out of the nearly 1.4 million people believed to be HIV positive in Kenya, only 400,000 know their status, and so starting Monday all persons seeking in and outpatient medical services including immunization for children will be tested. The tests will also be carried out at workplaces and homes.
