actually - i hope CNN continues to use clueless liberals in their commentary. It doesnt advance the dialogue any, as you can see between Dana and Matt. What was convincing in this segment was that Dana knew what she was talking about, she had confidence and conviction in her well thought out answers. All accounts of the rally said there were VERY FEW blacks there, but she lied when she accused Matt of saying it was all white, which he never said. Beck himself tried to set up the rally as some sort of civil rights thing to begin with. So Matt was not out of line mentioning the racial aspects of the rally and Beck

"Does Matt Taibbi watch Glenn Beck?" Probably not, but like most political junkies he's seen the numerous clips of Beck making blatantly bigoted or racist comments. Beck said that Obama had a "deep seated hatred of white people", for example. He asked Keith Ellison, the first Muslim member of Congress to "prove to me sir, that you are not working with our enemies". Those are just two examples. He's been using this "WE surround THEM" rhetoric for some time.

The new media has a "contact list" of celebrities, etc. They know the position each holds. When the media wants to say something, they know who to call that will say what the news outlet wants to say. In all, it was a good debate and at least it represented both sides of the issue.
