I couldn't decide rather to toss up a short video of an obscure good game or an obscure bad game for Christmas, so I tossed a coin. The result was this. Energizer: Run the Bunny. Quite possibly commercialism at it's worst. I played through two levels. One with the sound effects, and the other with the music. Apparently some genius decided that computer games didn't need both at the same time in 1996. "What? Duke Nukem 3D and the Doom games have sound AND music? Well screw that! We'll give the player a choice between bland sound effects breaking up long periods of silence and terrible music that repeats and bores into your skull! It'll sell like hotcakes!" Needless to say, this game is an annoying pantload that would be best forgotten and left to the ages. But thanks to people like me who enjoy finding these, um, unique games and sharing them with the masses of the internet, that will never happen. Although in my case, it usually ends up being a(more than obvious usually) lesson in how to not make games. Ah well. Maybe next time I'll toss up something good like the PC port of The Goonies or Guerrilla War. Or maybe another game meant to increase sales, like Avoid the Noid or Harald Hardtand. Who know what the future could hold. Merry Christmas(or whatever you might celebrate) everybody.
