wish you a journey of peace and healing. Bless you for speaking up against this silent cancer of the church.

@SteveCarras I take it you're a survivor. I thank my lucky stars I wasn't raised catholic. I curse my lucky stars it still happened to me, with non-religious people, though. I don't think I even have to ask if you're a survivor. Your rage about it is obvious. I'm very sorry. It wasn't your fault. It wasn't your fault. It wasn't your fault.

A lot of female survivors- no offense to them- we should be holding hands on this- think that males aren't as psychologically tortured because they don't have vaginas, and therefore can't have as horrific an abuse experience- "can't be raped". But yes, it hurts boys just as much as girls. There are two unique dimensions to it for boys. Your genitalia are external (not hidden, impossible to hide arousal), and the feminizing aspect of it. Not that either gender should be competing here.

Oh, but haven't you heard???? The priests can totally ger away with it and they should by all means ever possible GET AWAY WITH IT...because THEY ARE PRIESTS!!! THEY ARE PRIESTS!!! THEY ARE PRIESTS!!! THEY ARE PRIESTS!!! THEY ARE PRIESTS!!! [the little boys in question ASKED for it,too.]

fuck religion. Why hasn't the church excommunicated them yet.
-
These fucking priests need to die, wtf. And do these priests get fired and shamed? NOPE, move them to another church where they can terrorize, and abuse more kids. Religion is evil, they prey on babies. Atheism is inevitable.

Ah more Christian love

An organization that claims to possess the sole path to salvation may not rely on the sins of others to excuse its own misconduct.

@mindspring57 I agree that the Church erected an institutional wall because of the sex abuse scandal, but saying that public schools are the answer ignores that sex abuse rates in public schools are 100 times of those committed by clergy and that public education defaults to the lowest possible academic and intellectual standard to march the students through.
Get the word out, not just to the people of Milwaukee, but to all of Wisconsin.

As events (and numerous "apologies") have proved, this is a worldwide epidemic, indicating that the Roman Rite is a child abuser protection racket. Laws should be passed requiring the closure of Catholic schools. If Catholics are educated in public schools, they might have a better world view and become more productive members of society, and less likely to think that eating a hotdog on Friday merits eternal damnation.
