RAN organized an action at General Mills' world headquarters to protest their use of palm oil in over a hundred of their most popular food products.

RAN is demanding that General Mills' cancel their palm oil contract with their supplier, Cargill Inc., who's dirty and dangerous palm oil plantations in Indonesian and Papua New Guinea harm rainforests, rainforest peoples, and the climate.

  • cool !! .. great reporting congrats

  • Sure, pick out a 'teeny-weensy' offender and single them out. Over 50% of ALL consumer product in the world contains palm oil or derivative. China uses more palm oil than any country in the world. You choose to pick out an easy target to incriminate because it is domestic and has a mailing address. What is to be gained by taking down an american industry for using a dash, yet continue buying imported dollar store cookies, crackers, lotions, & cosmetics that contain tons of the stuff.

  • How about porridge from ASDA?

  • Excellent report! Good job!

  • Get a different narrator and you've got a hit.

  • This was one of the more inspiring mornings of my life. To all the people who came out in the cold and put their bodies on the line for what they believe in - a just food system that does not destroy rainforests, forest species and communities - thank you!!!!!! General Mills cancel your contract with Cargill or get them to adopt a palm oil policy NOW!!! Rawr!

  • NO rainforest destruction in my breakfast!

  • Thanks for sharing this moving video and thank you to everyone who participated in this important action, done on behalf of the earth and all those who love it.

  • Wonderful Video! No no no General Mills, Guacala!!!!
