I don't think this proves anything. They just seem great friends. I'm very close to all my friends. I think it's nice that these people feel comfortable enough around each other to show true care. These kind of people do not exist any more. Sensitivity is a thing of the past these days.

to me this just looks like sal mineo had a big crush. as he was in fact gay, and james dean was in fact a giant (possibly bisexual) hunk, I don't doubt Sal was nursing a crush.

I didn't see anything in this clip "necessarily gay" at all. (Not that it would matter.) People are psycho hypersensitive to any male showing affection to another as "gay." It's crazy. I carried my little brother around on my back for most of my childhood. Hell, I even held his hand. Didn't make me or my brother gay. Look at the affection between straight soldiers - it's called brotherhood or just plain ole friendship. J.D. may be "as queer as a $3 bill." But, it's not in this clip.

Why couldn't I have been born decades earlier?!! My generation is so screwed up. I was born in 1993, and it's so frustrating to look around and realize very few kids my age have values. They don't care for anything real. It takes a real person (man OR woman) to show sensitivity. Real- As in, you're living for no one but yourself and your emotions are not filtered, fixed, modified.. I respect JD and any other man who is comfortable enough in his own masculinity to be vulnerable. You get the idea
